Matthew helped prepare me for Medical School interviews. I had two layouts – one in an MMI format with questions sent out prior and one was a little more unknown but told to be more group and scenario based. Matthew was excellent in helping me with my questions – running through with the good aspects of my answers, highlighting how I could improve, gave me suggestions to think outside the box, everything. He helped me practice answering to improve my confidence with the interview setting and gave me tips for feeling at ease. With the other interview where I was unsure how to prepare, he gave me skills and actions appropriate to all situations to help improve me generally as an interviewee. Overall excellent service and a huge help with my interviews!

I had a skype consultation with Matthew before going for a teaching interview. His advice was great. Very clear and was helpful to run through some interview questions and the structure of how to answer some of the more awkward questions I could be asked. It really helped me in the interview.

I had a Skype consultation with Elizabeth last year at short notice. She managed to fit me into her busy schedule. The advice I got was invaluable! I had been unsuccessful in two interviews and having that session with Elizabeth made me see where I was going wrong. I got the job that I am really enjoying and I know that without your help Elizabeth I would not have. Thank you so much!

Hi Mohammed, I was happy to help. Specialist interviews in NHS are particularly difficult as they assessing a candidate on a such a wide specification. You just needed a boost in confidence to expand on your examples. Enjoy the new challenge.

I arranged an appointment with Elizabeth after a string of not-quite-successful interviews in the highly competitive university sector. The session was really helpful and gave me fresh perspective, improving my confidence and strategy. Based on Elizabeth’s advice, I began approaching my interview prep differently and, following some practice and hard work based on what I learnt, have now managed to secure a job that I’m extremely pleased with. I’d recommend Elizabeth for anyone experiencing a similar situation.

Before my coaching sessions with Elizabeth, I had written off the civil service as a potential employer, despite having a background in policy development, as my applications failed to get me an interview on every single occasion. Elizabeth firstly supported me to write competency examples in a clearer and more succinct way through a Skype session and regular e-mail follow up. Once I had mastered this, I got through the sift on the next attempt. We then moved forward with 2 interview coaching sessions to help build my confidence in presenting my examples and tailoring them to different questions. I did well enough in the interview to be placed on the reserve list. I really enjoyed working with Elizabeth and would highly recommend her to others in a similar situation. I will continue to apply for civil service and public sector roles in the New Year with renewed confidence and enthusiasm.

Hi Heather, thanks for writing a review. It’s helpful for visitors to see that passing the grade in the civil service is not always enough to be offered the role. You have to achieve the highest score on the day. I am confident that you’ll soon be in this position. Keep in touch.

Thanks Chris. You are naturally a strong communicator but I am glad it was still helpful to go through the leadership competency questions together. It gave your confidence a boost for the interview. Enjoy the new role.

When the opportunity of a career move came along I had been working for the same company for many years so had next to no experience of current interview techniques.
Elizabeth was very patient, she helped me understand the interview process and offered me great insights into what the interviewer would be looking for, in both strengths and competency based questions.
In our first Skype session she helped me articulate my answers and understand how to best prepare for the interview. During our second Skype session a few days before my interview she offered me very constructive feedback on how I could improve even further and really helped me approach the interview with confidence.
Thanks to Elizabeth’s invaluable expertise and knowledge I was called back for a second interview and was offered the role!
I really cannot thank Elizabeth enough for all her help and I highly recommend her coaching to anyone who needs support with interview techniques.

Hi Nathalie, not surprisingly it was very daunting for you go for an interview after working so long in one organisation but you had all the skills and experience they were looking for and this is what really matters in an interview. It will be a big change for you. Keep in touch as I would love to know how you get on.

Before I had a session with Elizabeth, I was unsure as to how I should approach a forthcoming assessment centre for a place on the graduate scheme of a Big Four accounting firm. I had a tendency to lose track of what I wanted to say, and I wasn’t sure which experiences best demonstrated the key values of the firm. However, with her insightful suggestions and deep understanding of both 1-on-1 interview and group exercise techniques, I felt assured and confident in my approach to preparation. As a result of her coaching, I had a clear strategy going into the AC, and was offered a position on my first attempt. I would wholeheartedly recommend Elizabeth to anyone seeking to hone their interview technique, build real confidence and bring out their full potential in the interview process.

Thanks Mark, However competitive or difficult the assessment day are most organisations are looking for candidates who can work well in a team and someone they like. You worked hard to overcome your nerves and tried hard to make good eye contact and build rapport in the group exercise and in the interview. It clearly worked and you now have a great start to your career.

Matthew was very useful in helping me prepare for a children’s therapist job. After a few failed interviews, due to a lack of confidence and limited experience of interviewing, Matthew helped me build a structure around how I answer questions and also build self confidence about the experience I had and ability to talk about it. I felt much more capable to answer questions in my interview the following week and managed to land the job!

Hi Millie, This is great news. It was really rewarding to see you grow in confidence and self belief during our session and then put all this into practice the following day at interview, thus securing the new role. You are well qualified and I wish you every success. Matt
