Elizabeth is truly amazing. She has not only helped me stand tall but also completely transformed how I approach interviews and view my skill set. As an interview coach, she goes beyond the basics of preparing for a role. She helps you tailor your skills to fit the specific roles you’re applying for, but more importantly, she opens your eyes to what you’re truly capable of. Sometimes we underestimate our natural abilities because they come easily to us, but Elizabeth shows you how to express these in a way that highlights their full value. She helps you see beyond tasks and focus on the big picture - especially on soft skills, which are crucial in today’s job market. When I first worked with Elizabeth, I received offers from three major companies immediately after our sessions, and I was able to choose the role that was the perfect fit for me. Coaching with Claire Hodgson was the best decision I made to kick start my career. Warm and approachable and also punchy, she challenged me to improve much more than I believed I was capable of, and then built up my confidence to perform optimally at interview. I know I would not have got my dream job in the Civil Service without her help. She’s a great coach, so do not waste another second thinking about hiring her. Do it. If you want the job, she is the key to get you through the door.

I highly recommend Elizabeth and the interview skills clinic. Elizabeth helped me prepare for an interview for a Civil Service Grade 6 role and the three sessions gave me the confidence and skills needed to get the job. As someone who has struggled with interviews in the past I now have the skills to confidently tackle senior Civil Service interviews for the years to come. Elizabeth has a complete understanding the civil service behaviours and interview format so it felt like getting insider knowledge which proved to be essential. Elizabeth is an outstanding interview coach whom I highly recommend. Her sessions helped me overcome insecurities as a non-native speaker working in higher education, boosting my confidence and highlighting my skills and abilities. Elizabeth’s calm and kind attitude helped me to stay grounded, but also guided me back to my strengths when I felt lost during the interview, ultimately leading to the attainment of my dream job. Elizabeth is a very supportive coach. I was applying for a Business Analyst role and within an hour of a second interview I was called back by the company to let me know that they really liked me and offered me the job. I thought I knew how to use the STAR approach before but Elizabeth has a unique interpretation of it and I was complimented on my response. What really helped me was the way she broke the STAR up for me in a way which was relevant to the role and sector I was going for. My interview felt much more like a conversation. I learnt a lot and feel so much more confident in interviews

After five years abroad,I decided to re enter the London job market. Having used Elizabeth's services before, I did not hesitate to contact her again. With her guidance and support I was successful in getting offers from multiple companies. Elizabeth is sincere and cares about her clients and their job satisfaction beyond the remit of her role as an interview coach, her many years of experience give her a discerning eye and she can predict in a very short space of time what her clients need and how to get them from A to B. I would recommend her wholeheartedly. She also goes out of her way to make time for her clients and is very punctual and organised.

Interview coaching with Matt was exactly what I needed. My skills were rusty and I'd lost confidence. I really liked Matt's direct but supportive approach. I was out of my comfort zone during the sessions (which was good!) but through practice my confidence grew and learning took place. I now have an excellent structure to work with for future interviews. I'm very grateful for Matt's help. Thank you.

I was feeling insecure in my communication skills when I met with Elizabeth for a mock interview. Her knowledge paired with her straightforward approach meant that in one hour we had covered a number of actionable insights that instantly boosted my confidence. I walked into the interview with a clear plan (and renewed belief in my competence) and dare I say I even enjoyed it! Thank you for doing what you do!

Matthew has been incredibly supportive and helpful throughout my application process (on multiple occasions. With his support, I was able to land my first civil service role. He put a lot of effort and enthusiasm into every session. His techniques were incredibly helpful and I have learnt skills that I will continue to use throughout my career. Couldn’t recommend more.

Elizabeth is a fabulous coach. Following her coaching, I had two coaching sessions I got a senior programme manager role in the Civil Service, it was a very complex role. I offered the job and I was told my interview was excellent!! Elizabeth gave me such detailed and insghtful feedabck I was able to reshape all my Behaviour answers and went into the interview feeling much more confident. Thank you Elizabeth
Matthew’s help was invaluable in preparing me for a job interview in a senior role. As I had no previous experience of being interviewed for a position at this level, I was feeling anxious about the whole process and not at all confident as I had very little time to prepare. Matthew was brilliant from the outset and very professional. We emailed and spoke over the phone prior to the session so he knew about me and why I needed some assistance, the details of the job I had applied for and also my work history. He reassurred me that he would be able to help and could see me at short notice. Matthew has a wonderfully warm manner which puts you at ease straight away and is extremely knowledgable, he went through my C.V. in detail and really understands your skill set regardless of which area or industry you work in. He had prepared a variety of question areas specifically for the type of role I had applied for which helped me frame my skills and experience in the right way. I left the session just feeling much more positive, a couple of days later the interview went and I was so happy to be offered the job. I can highly recommend Matthew to anyone seeking to improve their interview skills, I received really good feedback from the interview, the difference after just one session was amazing! Thanks to Chista for coaching me for video and face-to-face interviews for my first job after graduating – I was offered a role after my second job interview, so I was really pleased. After my coaching sessions, I felt much more confident and less anxious about the interviews, and getting a job so quickly was a big relief. Chista kept in touch with me throughout my interviews, was really supportive and was happy to talk through anything, I really appreciated her going the extra mile to help.

I was looking for a promotion after being in the same post for over 10 years, but despite having the necessary skills and experience, I wasn’t getting any response to my applications. A friend recommended Interview Skills Clinic, and after Chista helped with my CV and application writing, I started getting offers for interview. She then supported me through the interview process, and her coaching session and mock interviews really boosted my confidence and prepared me for dealing with all types of questions. Matthew began working with me at the start of June 2019 after graduating from University having applyed for many roles and never getting further than the first stage. As a result of his help, he gave me the skills, knowledge and confidence to apply for roles with a strong application. I was able to secure a job within a few months of working with Matthew. He was actively involved in my applications and the different stages of application. Overall very personable and enjoyable to work with. Importantly, Matthew explained to me the process of how employers decide to take candidates forward to an interview and what influences are important for the final appointment, something I found extremely useful when reading feedback from unsuccessful applications as I was able to understand the overall process better. Matthew is a friendly person who is enthusiastic about working with people and learning more about areas of work/interest beyond just reading cover letters or CVs. Absolutely fantastic consultant. I had struggled significantly in the past with civil service applications and interviews and had completed lost my confidence but after just two sessions I got two job offers straight away. I cannot thank Elizabeth enough for the confidence, knowledge and skills she provided me to succeed at getting a promotion within Government. I loved the flexible approach of using skype and face to face and continual encouragement. Following several unsuccessful interviews I had a 90 minute coaching session with Elizabeth. Her insights and coaching on how to articulate my experience and tools for tackling difficult questions were invaluable and I can happily say I was successful in my next interview.

I had worked in the private sector for over twenty years, when I applied for a job in the Civil Service. I was aware that Civil Service interviews focused on personal behaviors rather than technical knowledge and experience. The Interview Skills Clinic helped me to understand the type of questions that would be asked and how to answer them using the STAR system. This allowed me to prepare appropriately for the interview. As a result, I was able to respond confidently at the interview and I was offered a senior role within the Civil Service.

Having been in a technical role for several years I wanted to take my career to the next level and apply for a leadership position. I knew I had the skills for the job, but I was not sure what to expect in an interview. A friend told me he had attended an interview training course which proved very useful, so I decided to try as well. I opted for the services of Interview Skills Clinic because of the favourable reviews and because they were able to accommodate my request at very short notice-a few days before my scheduled face-to-face interview.
