I used interview skills clinic to prepare for an interview at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy which I’m delighted to say led to a job offer. I had an hour session with Elizabeth which helped me to really understand what the civil service behaviour profiles were looking for and how to ensure that my examples fully showed my skills and experience. Elizabeth clearly has a wealth of knowledge and experience as an interview coach. She has a very professional manner, providing constructive feedback whilst still making me feel confident in my skills and ability to get the role. Elizabeth genuinely cares about helping her clients get her dream roles and was happy to answer any questions after the session and checked in with to see how I’d got on. I was initially a bit hesitant to book a session with interview skills clinic due to cost. However, my session with Elizabeth was great value for money. I’m so glad that I invested in myself and booked the session with Elizabeth. Overall, I would highly recommend interview skills clinic.

Thanks Mollie for your feedback. I am delighted that you got the success you deserve. It’s valuable to get your initial thoughts on our fees. Understandably, cost is an important factor but we know that interview coaching can only work when it is bespoke and this takes us lots of preparation time. I am pleased the investment paid off. Enjoy the new role and challenge.

Having reached the final stage of various internship application processes in the past but failing to succeed at the final interview stage, I booked a few sessions with Elizabeth to help me prepare for an interview at the Bank of England. Elizabeth was the perfect interview coach- supportive, insightful and most importantly, honest about areas of potential weakness whilst offering thoughtful tips to improve. I am delighted to have been successful in my internship application and am very grateful to Elizabeth, whom I could not have done it without. I would strongly advise anyone who is considering getting some interview coaching to give it a try, you will not be disappointed. Elizabeth, with her wealth of experience, offers advice you won’t find online, takes a genuine interest in your career goals and instills the confidence and belief you need to succeed.

Elizabeth was reccomended to me for interview practice after I found myself unemployed after 25 years working at the same company. The employment landscape had changed completely in that time. She completely turned around my mindset and helped me developed my technique and confidence, to such a point that I secured a role in a world-class company after just my second interview. The role was in a vastly different field that I had experience of, so even more daunting. I would thoroughly recommend Elizabeth to anyone looking to improve their interview technique.

Thanks Gurch, not surprisingly being unemployed knocks confidence but you had all the skills and experience to do well. I was pleased to help.

Had two zoom calls with Matthew which was recommended after an initial discussion. Both calls were hugely helpful. Very efficient and huge amount of content was covered during the calls. I performed very well thanks to these sessions and have no doubt that my chances were significantly improved as a direct result of these sessions.

Came to ISC at short notice to help prepare for two civil service interviews. Matthew had excellent knowledge of the civil service interview process, provided helpful feedback and really got me to focus on the important aspects. I got offered the job for my preferred role; needless to say would highly recommend the service.

I booked a couple of interview sessions over Zoom for an online video interview I had coming up, which was competency based as well as testing knowledge of the role and the institution. The coaching was thorough and the coach, Matthew, thoroughly broke down the answers I gave. He highlighted what aspects I needed to emphasise when delivering an anecdote, including how I achieved an aim and what I learnt rather than just what I did. He also prepared a prospective list of questions I could be asked to practise over, while also sending over a recording of both sessions to play back before the interview. The experience was really insightful in my interview performance, and Matthew’s detailed analysis and delivering constructive feedback and significantly improved my performance in an interview process I have historically struggled with. Highly reccommended.

I am very pleased with the service from Interview Skills Clinic and especially my interview coach Matt Eastlake. He took the time to study and evaluate what my assessment day would be like prior to our session so that we could use our time together in the most effective way possible. His knowledge and experience of how I would need to perform on the day to achieve success was impressive. By working with Matt to get feedback and advice, I was much better equipped to tackle my assessment day than if I had prepared alone. Throughout our coaching sessions, Matt was friendly, professional, and engaging. Our two coaching sessions definitely helped me feel comfortable and ready on the day. They allowed me to give my best at interview and get an offer at the end of it. Thank you very much for your time and advice Matt!

I applied for a programme manager role within the Public Service. I knew I had the required skills and experience, but without Matthew’s professional help I’d never be able to get that across during the selection process. Matthew’s guidance was invaluable in understanding the requirements of the selection process and in presenting my prior experience in the right way. He was very knowledgeable and encouraging. The coaching I received was extremely useful, well targeted to the role I applied for, professional, efficient and most of all effective. I had passed the initial selection, and after further interview coaching, ultimately got the job. It was certainly money well spent and the whole process gave me a good insight into the application and selection process, which I am sure, I can also use in the future.

I had two sessions with Elizabeth a week apart and I can honestly say that it was the difference to me getting the G7 government job I applied for. Elizabeth made great use of the time we had together and gave me tailored feedback in a friendly, direct and supportive manner that helped me to truly engage with the behaviour and strengths questions. Elizabeth helped me to show my skills and experience off in the best light and demonstrate the added value I could bring to the role. My interview feedback was very positive and specifically mentioned how my interview performance demonstrated how i met the criteria for the job better than my written statement (n.b. i did not receive any coaching for the written statement!). If anyone is hesitating about the cost for coaching i would advise you to go for it as the coaching i have received has not only been an investment in my career but an investment in my personal development and i will definitely be using the service again when i am ready to move on to the next stage of my career!.

Thank you Ese, I was so pleased you did so well. Getting 6’s for the Behaviour questions was a great result and it looked you got 4 out of 4 for each of the Strength questiosn too! Well done. Keep in touch and let me know how you get on. 2021 looks like it’s going to be very exciting year for your career 🙂
