I highly recommend Elizabeth and the interview skills clinic. Elizabeth helped me prepare for an interview for a Civil Service Grade 6 role and the three sessions gave me the confidence and skills needed to get the job. As someone who has struggled with interviews in the past I now have the skills to confidently tackle senior Civil Service interviews for the years to come. Elizabeth has a complete understanding the civil service behaviours and interview format so it felt like getting insider knowledge which proved to be essential. Elizabeth is an outstanding interview coach whom I highly recommend. Her sessions helped me overcome insecurities as a non-native speaker working in higher education, boosting my confidence and highlighting my skills and abilities. Elizabeth’s calm and kind attitude helped me to stay grounded, but also guided me back to my strengths when I felt lost during the interview, ultimately leading to the attainment of my dream job. Elizabeth is a very supportive coach. I was applying for a Business Analyst role and within an hour of a second interview I was called back by the company to let me know that they really liked me and offered me the job. I thought I knew how to use the STAR approach before but Elizabeth has a unique interpretation of it and I was complimented on my response. What really helped me was the way she broke the STAR up for me in a way which was relevant to the role and sector I was going for. My interview felt much more like a conversation. I learnt a lot and feel so much more confident in interviews

After five years abroad,I decided to re enter the London job market. Having used Elizabeth's services before, I did not hesitate to contact her again. With her guidance and support I was successful in getting offers from multiple companies. Elizabeth is sincere and cares about her clients and their job satisfaction beyond the remit of her role as an interview coach, her many years of experience give her a discerning eye and she can predict in a very short space of time what her clients need and how to get them from A to B. I would recommend her wholeheartedly. She also goes out of her way to make time for her clients and is very punctual and organised.

Interview coaching with Matt was exactly what I needed. My skills were rusty and I'd lost confidence. I really liked Matt's direct but supportive approach. I was out of my comfort zone during the sessions (which was good!) but through practice my confidence grew and learning took place. I now have an excellent structure to work with for future interviews. I'm very grateful for Matt's help. Thank you.

I was feeling insecure in my communication skills when I met with Elizabeth for a mock interview. Her knowledge paired with her straightforward approach meant that in one hour we had covered a number of actionable insights that instantly boosted my confidence. I walked into the interview with a clear plan (and renewed belief in my competence) and dare I say I even enjoyed it! Thank you for doing what you do!

Matthew has been incredibly supportive and helpful throughout my application process (on multiple occasions. With his support, I was able to land my first civil service role. He put a lot of effort and enthusiasm into every session. His techniques were incredibly helpful and I have learnt skills that I will continue to use throughout my career. Couldn’t recommend more.

Elizabeth is a fabulous coach. Following her coaching, I had two coaching sessions I got a senior programme manager role in the Civil Service, it was a very complex role. I offered the job and I was told my interview was excellent!! Elizabeth gave me such detailed and insghtful feedabck I was able to reshape all my Behaviour answers and went into the interview feeling much more confident. Thank you Elizabeth

Elizabeth's coaching made a huge difference. I was struggling with getting a permanent role at the University despite knowing I had all the experience I needed. The interview was challenging with lots of situational questionsand I didn't know where I was going wrong. Elizabeth was able to demonstrate how to rephase my answers in a way which the Interviewers wanted. I had never done a UK Civil Service interview, and had never worked with a coach before - and I needed urgent help to prepare for an application. I found Mathew Eastlake during an online search and I had no idea what to expect. 4 sessions later I can honestly say it was probably the best investment of my life. Not only did Matt help me ace the interview and secure the role, but during our sessions I also learned so much more about my strengths and weaknesses. In just 4 sessions I learned how to focus my answers and present myself in the best possible way. I could not have gotten the role without Matt - that is the truth. For anyone who has never got why interviews don’t go their way, I would highly recommend this company. I really stress over interviews and a run of bad experiences had dented my confidence severely. Jane made me go through how to present myself, raising a mirror to how I portray myself and giving me a valuable insight into what the interviewers need to fill their checkpoints. It was painful and exhausting at times, but her constant support and positivity encouragement gave me the energy to push through. Her pointing out my skills and experience made me realise I actually have a lot to offer! Happy to say that I succeeded with this interview. I am very grateful to Jane for all she did!

I had a couple of really amazing, to the point and productive interview preparation sessions with Matthew for the civil service jobs interviews. The result is 7 interviews, 4 offers, 3 jobs in reserve lists after passing all of the interviews, this speaks for itself. Looking at the scores and feedback, I would have fallen slightly short in civil service interviews despite being good at interviewing for “regular” jobs. The information from the sessions also helped me to polish my CV, personal statements and behaviours explanations. I ended up landing the position that I didn’t expect to get, basically a dream job. Thank you.

Faced with my first job interview in many years, and the interview being a Civil Service ‘Success Profiles’ format; I engaged Interview Skills Clinic and was assisted in my preparation at extremely short notice by Matt Eastlake. The assistance with preparation and some coaching in general interview skills were invaluable, enabling me to be successful in the interview and being offered the role. I completed a CV coaching session with Chista, I already thought my CV was quite strong but Chista’s pointers and advice made it ten times stronger. She really opened my eyes to what recruiters are looking for in a CV and the best ways to approach CV writing.
I also completed an interview preparation and mock video interview with Chista. Again, she was very informed about what recruiters are looking for. She gave great advice about the best ways to prepare for interviews to ensure that you have a high chance of acing them and her constructive criticism gave me a lot more confidence.
I have secured a graduate software developer job at a bank. Their feedback was that they were really impressed by my CV and that I aced all three interviews I had so I don’t think I would have gotten the job without Chista.

Back in 2017 Elizabeth’s interview coaching helped me secure a project management position in the NHS. I contacted her again recently and she was able to help me fine tune my interview technique to secure a promotion to Senior Project Manager. Through a recommendation, I turned to the Interview Skills Clinic for help in my job application and interview. Before embarking on my sessions with Matt, the question did briefly cross my mind as to whether any value could be added to improve my application, especially when the cost of sessions is taken into consideration. However, any modicum of doubt was very quickly dispelled with the great work he did on re-vamping my personal statement, which helped to secure my interview. As for the interview preparation, Matt did not sugar coat any of the feedback; it was all very constructive, efficient and placed me in a position where I was able to come to the interview with an enhanced confidence to successfully convey my suitability for the role to the interview panel. As a result, I received excellent feedback from the panel and the highest scores for my behaviour and strength examples. All this would not have been achieved without his work, support and advice.
