I had very little interview experience before I had the interview coaching. No face to face experience, just pre-recorded questions. With two sessions with Matthew Eastlake, I had the interview skills necessary to pass an engineering placement interview and secure a 13 month internship. The Interview Skills Clinic improved all of my interview skills; my confidence, my ability to answer interview questions, and my ability to communicate my skills and enthusiasm to my future employer.I highly recommend the Interview Skills Clinic to anyone who was in my position.

Hi Tommy, well done. Pre-recorded video interviews are really tricky and a very unnatural way to have an interview but you ‘nailed it’. Enjoy the engineering internship, it will be a great start for you for your career, I hope to work with you in the future.

Matthew is a superb work coach and I thorougly enjoyed the time I spent working with him. He is responsive, down-to-earth, and easy to get on with, all qualities which make even the most challenging task feel approachable when you know he is in your corner. He clearly understands the civil service interview process inside out but, crucially, Matthew has a tremendous skill in translating what are often vague and unclear civil service competencies into concrete ideas that can be tackled head-on. He employs a no nonsense approach and tells you what you need to hear rather than what you want to hear, which ensures you are fully prepared come interview day. In just a few short sessions with Matthew, I was soon receiving excellent scores across the board for my interviews and, very recently, I was offered a permanent role within the civil service at the department I wanted. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Matthew to anyone looking for the tailored guidance they might need to navigate civil service interviews. Thank you again Matt!

I contacted the interview skills clinic for help with an upcoming competancy based interview within the Civil Service. I had failed in these types of interviews before and had no confidence in either the examples i was using or my delivery. Matthew Eastlake was fantastic, he is knowledgable in this field and has a very easy manner when explaining these things which just makes sense. He went through each of my examples and helped me not only with the structure of them but he made suggesstions which helped to improve the delivery of them. The help Matt has given me has been invaluable, he has given me a reassurance in my own ability and a confidence that i can do well in my interview. This has been money well spent and i would highly recommend Matt to anyone who is even considering reaching out and asking for help.

After successfully going through the sift for an SEO position in the civil service, I wanted to complete as much preparation as possible. I hadn’t had an interview in the past 13 years and my skills and confidence were needing to be much improved upon. I found Interview Skills Clinic through researching and after an initial consultation with Elizabeth, I was impressed with her knowledge and expertise in the civil service process. I then worked with Claire over the course of three sessions, each building upon my answers and giving me more confidence to handle all eventualities that could come up. Claire was excellent throughout, providing a deep understanding of the whole interview structure, what they were looking for and how it should come across. During the interview, all the questions that Claire prepared me for came up and I was able to answer them confidently. I was successful, receiving a phone call the next day offering me the job and I cannot thank Claire and Interview Skills Clinic enough for their efforts. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking their dream job and would defiantly use them again.

I was recommended Matthew’s interview services through a friend as I’d been struggling to pass my final Police Interview. This was my third attempt and had been struggling to articulate my example answers in the way that was required to score high enough. Matthew was amazing, he knew what the interviewers would be looking for, helped with answer structure and use of language and most importantly gave me back the confidence in myself that I had lost. Something ‘clicked’ for me during the sessions we had and I genuinely believe he helped me pass this time around. Really great guy and I enjoyed working with him.

I had been applying for vacation schemes and training contracts at law firms for a while. Whilst I had been successful in getting through to assessment centre stage, I was struggling when it came to the interview portion of these days. I had a couple of sessions with Elizabeth Conley a couple of days before an assessment day with a leading international law firm. It was really useful and she was able to pinpoint exactly where I was going wrong fairly quickly and gave me a number of useful tips to try in order to rectify this. I was able to use this in this interview and was offered a place on the vacation scheme. I would definitely recommend the Interview Skills Clinic to anyone aiming for a vacation scheme or training contract, it was very helpful!

Hi Olivia, you did really to be offered the vacation scheme. As we both know get a vacation scheme or training contract is very challenging. The vacation scheme experience will help you in your next training contract interviews, and sometimes law firms offer Training Contracts at the end of the Vacation Scheme. Keep in touch and let me know how you get on. Thanks for the review.

I have had great success on securing jobs in the past and currently with interview skills clinic. Especially support provided by Matt who has been very patient in providing clear and realistic feedback that helped me secure my latest role within the Civil Service. Matt breaks things down in an understandable way and really digs deep into the weaker parts of delivery. He knows how to elevate the examples you need to pass competency interviews while helping you to focus on structure and delivery. I highly recommend Matt and Elizabeth as fabulous interview and application coaches.

Thank you Eleanor, I am very pleased that your interview was successful. Making time and investing in your preparation and practice is key to mastering how to approach and succeed at a Civil Service interview. The CS interview structure can at first seem perplexing, but as you suggest, when the key elements are broken down and explained it becomes very possible to prepare and deliver strong examples. All the very best and I look forward to hearing of your continued success and progression. Matt

Matt is an inspirational and extremely able interview coach. With TEN (yes!) unsuccessful interviews behind me, I needed urgent help. At very short notice, Matt freed up time to coach me on New Year’s eve and early Jan. He provided me with key insights into (i) my performance and (ii) the client which I would never have gleaned myself. Matt restored my confidence and turned around my interview performance. He also gave very generously of his time. Following my interview, I was made an offer just 30 minutes after the interview. That result speaks for itself. I can unhesitatingly recommend Matt.

Thank you Yousef. Often interviews come at short notice and this is when we need to work quickly and diligently through the role requirements and interview practice. I am very pleased that you were successful. Following a run of unsuccessful interview one can be left feeling slightly bewildered and lacking in confidence, this can be remedied with structured and focused preparation. You put the time in to prepare and practice and this has paid off setting you up nicely for the role and indeed future interviews. All the best, Matt
