I highly recommend Elizabeth and the interview skills clinic. Elizabeth helped me prepare for an interview for a Civil Service Grade 6 role and the three sessions gave me the confidence and skills needed to get the job. As someone who has struggled with interviews in the past I now have the skills to confidently tackle senior Civil Service interviews for the years to come. Elizabeth has a complete understanding the civil service behaviours and interview format so it felt like getting insider knowledge which proved to be essential. Elizabeth is an outstanding interview coach whom I highly recommend. Her sessions helped me overcome insecurities as a non-native speaker working in higher education, boosting my confidence and highlighting my skills and abilities. Elizabeth’s calm and kind attitude helped me to stay grounded, but also guided me back to my strengths when I felt lost during the interview, ultimately leading to the attainment of my dream job. Elizabeth is a very supportive coach. I was applying for a Business Analyst role and within an hour of a second interview I was called back by the company to let me know that they really liked me and offered me the job. I thought I knew how to use the STAR approach before but Elizabeth has a unique interpretation of it and I was complimented on my response. What really helped me was the way she broke the STAR up for me in a way which was relevant to the role and sector I was going for. My interview felt much more like a conversation. I learnt a lot and feel so much more confident in interviews

After five years abroad,I decided to re enter the London job market. Having used Elizabeth's services before, I did not hesitate to contact her again. With her guidance and support I was successful in getting offers from multiple companies. Elizabeth is sincere and cares about her clients and their job satisfaction beyond the remit of her role as an interview coach, her many years of experience give her a discerning eye and she can predict in a very short space of time what her clients need and how to get them from A to B. I would recommend her wholeheartedly. She also goes out of her way to make time for her clients and is very punctual and organised.

Interview coaching with Matt was exactly what I needed. My skills were rusty and I'd lost confidence. I really liked Matt's direct but supportive approach. I was out of my comfort zone during the sessions (which was good!) but through practice my confidence grew and learning took place. I now have an excellent structure to work with for future interviews. I'm very grateful for Matt's help. Thank you.

I was feeling insecure in my communication skills when I met with Elizabeth for a mock interview. Her knowledge paired with her straightforward approach meant that in one hour we had covered a number of actionable insights that instantly boosted my confidence. I walked into the interview with a clear plan (and renewed belief in my competence) and dare I say I even enjoyed it! Thank you for doing what you do!

Matthew has been incredibly supportive and helpful throughout my application process (on multiple occasions. With his support, I was able to land my first civil service role. He put a lot of effort and enthusiasm into every session. His techniques were incredibly helpful and I have learnt skills that I will continue to use throughout my career. Couldn’t recommend more.

Elizabeth is a fabulous coach. Following her coaching, I had two coaching sessions I got a senior programme manager role in the Civil Service, it was a very complex role. I offered the job and I was told my interview was excellent!! Elizabeth gave me such detailed and insghtful feedabck I was able to reshape all my Behaviour answers and went into the interview feeling much more confident. Thank you Elizabeth

Elizabeth's coaching made a huge difference. I was struggling with getting a permanent role at the University despite knowing I had all the experience I needed. The interview was challenging with lots of situational questionsand I didn't know where I was going wrong. Elizabeth was able to demonstrate how to rephase my answers in a way which the Interviewers wanted. I had never done a UK Civil Service interview, and had never worked with a coach before - and I needed urgent help to prepare for an application. I found Mathew Eastlake during an online search and I had no idea what to expect. 4 sessions later I can honestly say it was probably the best investment of my life. Not only did Matt help me ace the interview and secure the role, but during our sessions I also learned so much more about my strengths and weaknesses. Over the course of a year, I attended three interviews for various Civil Service positions. Unfortunately, I didn’t pass any of the interview stages despite feeling confident about my understanding of the competency framework. In light of this, I made the decision to seek the assistance of an interview coach to prepare for an upcoming interview. I scheduled two sessions with Matthew, which proved to be immensely insightful and beneficial. With his guidance, I gained a clearer understanding of the requirements and what the employers were seeking. Matthew helped me structure my responses effectively, and I found this to be one of the best investments I’ve made for my career. 10/10 service. My 2 interview coaching sessions with Matthew were incredibly helpful and informative. I wanted extra help as this was my first civil service interview. Best money I’ve spent as I was successful in getting the job and the advice I received in these sessions have not only been helpful for this particular interview, but I’m sure will prove useful in future interviews as well!

Elizabeth helped me prepare for an interview on promotion having not interviewed for a number of years. Her support was absolutely enlightening and completely changed the way I thought about interviewing for that step up. I was extremely anxious about my first competency based interview in years, and reached out to the Interview Skills Clinic to better understand the process and prepare myself in the best possible way. Following a brief introductory session with Elizabeth, where I explained my fears, expectations and needs, I was put in touch with Georgina to prepare my interview. Working with Georgina was an amazing and an eye-opening experience – it boosted my confidence; I felt way more relaxed, and even empowered. I understood how to tailor examples from my professional career to answer various sorts of CBI questions. The interview went great and I made it to the next stage. I can’t recommend Georgina enough!

I came to the Interview Skills Clinic as I had struggled with interviews in the past and wanted to nail my interview for the Civil Service. I was nervous attending my first session at the Interview skills clinic but Elizabeth made me feel relaxed and confident.
I work in a special school and was applying for a headship, I was struggling with giving in-depth responses to my answers. Elizabeth worked with me to support how I broke down the question to respond.
At interview I felt confident and clear in the way I was going to answer the question and the panel feedback from my interview was really positive and I will be taking up my first headship in September. I really enjoyed the session and will use Elizabeth again.

I found the Interview Skills Clinic a few weeks before my first two Civil Service interviews. As a recent graduate and someone new the the civil service interview style, I felt I needed some guidance. I was coached by Elizabeth and in just three sessions my confidence and understanding around the nature of Civil Service Interviews was exponentially improved. Elizabeth mocked interviews with me, helped me to technically improve my answers by providing me with tailored improvements to the examples I was using in my answers, and overall elevated my communication style. I was offered the job for one role, and placed on the reserve list for the other, so cannot thank and recommend Elizabeth and the Interview Skills Clinic enough!

I had 2 sessions with Elizabeth where she gave me a great understanding on how to answer interview questions with structure and gave me the confidence to be able to do perform much better in interviews, as this was something I was really lacking. I had 2 interview sessions with Claire to help prepare for interviews for my industrial placement year within my university course. Claire gave me practical tips and tricks and interview practice that helped me understand what to expect and which really helped me phrase answers to best showcase my experience and skills. I got the placement job and was told the decision was based off of my strong performance in interview. I would highly recommend Claire!
